Default I sank the mythical S-Class

Yep. Off of Gibraltar, I found him escorting a convoy I was attacking. Wasnt favourable weatherwise, night (GWX night) and stormy, but I fired an eel at him anyway. Blew his engine room out and he went down. Will post pics soon!

Mates, remember what ol' Gizzmoe said about signature size..?

Hi! The maximum allowed size for signature images is 400x120, the maximum allowed signature height, including text, is 150 pixels.

Please use JPG images only. No animated GIF´s >50KB.

You don´t need to change your current signature if it´s not more than 20% higher or wider than allowed.

This is a 400x120 image:

A signature, including text, mustn´t be higher than this (150 pixels):

I made a post that I was surprised they even existed.
This lone sub was in the water - very tough to spot, I got very close to it and started shelling it but no dice.
Then I fired a torpedo and she still was in one peace.
Suddenly I though it would start to dive and was scared and prepared for a scenario from Hunting for the Red October but she was not diving, instead she was going down....

interesting for sure

What is one of them doing escorting a convoy? Did they actually do such a thing in the War?

He was probably tagging along with the convoy to take advantage of the escorts it had as he left Gibraltar or some other port in the region. Makes sense to me

Yes they escorted out as far as an agreed point then returned/patrolled ( as did most minesweepers and local escorts - leaving only the ocean escorts till they were met the other end by local escorts/minesweepers etc )
Unfortunately the game means if a ship is in at the convoy start it stays in till the end

The artic convoys used subs most as nearby escorts due to the heavy German surface units in Norway
