Default Your specs and performance?

I'm interested in SH4, but I'm not sure my system can handle it in a reasonable manner. I would like this thread to be used by people to post their basic specs, resolution, and a brief note on how they perceive their frames and overall performance, maybe in a format like this:

CPU
RAM
Windows
Graphics board, RAM
Soundboard

Resolution
AA, AF

framerate or some words on performance

If such athread eventually is considered to be of help for others as well, I suggest to make it a sticky.

Screenshots look great, but if I would need to expect stuttering during gameplay, or need to adjust resolution and detail to lowest settings, I probably would prefer to stay with my (just reactivated) SH3 instead, which runs smooth.

So, please post your specs and experiences (in brief)! Thank you.

P4 3.01 GHz, 533 FSB

EVGA GeForce 7900 GS KO

1 GB DDR2

250 GB HDD

Integrated motherboard sound

Windows Vista

Runs SH4 at maximum settings perfectly (around 60 FPS), except when in harbours (framerate drops a bit due to large amount of objects, but is still quite high)

Athlon 64 X2 4200
1 Gig DDR2
7800GT
MSI K9 Platnum
250 Gig HD
SB Extreme Music (3d sounds maxed, distance effect on)

12*10 resolution on NEC 1940CX

I have everything on except for sun effects or whatever it was. Makes things hazy.

FPS is in the 60's normaly. 20's in harbor or heavy action. Never seems to studder except on load up for a min.

E6600 Core2Duo 2,4ghz
ABit AB9 Pro
2GB DDR2
7950GT 512MB
XP Pro SP2
Audigy SE

Okay frames with everything on full blast (40-60 external cam, 80+ inside sub), but gameplay-killing stutters when the volumetric fog is around, stutters less - but still stutters - elsewhere. (Except in port, lol)

P4 3.4GHz 775 socket
2 Gig DDR2 (now 3 Gig DDR2 800)
XP Pro (sp2)
ATI x700 pro (pci express) 256 MB (now ATI 1950Pro w/512mb - this was the reason for upgrade - fried the x700!!)
ASUS p5gd2 MB with built in sound (now ASUS P5W DH Deluxe with built in sound and cross fire)
3 250 Gig HDD (now 6 200 Gig SATA HD in Raid)
Dual Viewsonic 19" LCDs

Have everything on max. Runs great - around 120 FPS most of time. Lowest I seen is in "heavy" action is 24 FPS.

Intel core two duo 2.4 GHz
2 gigs ram
Windows vista
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX
Motherboard - onboard sound hooked up to 5.1 Dolby digital surround

1152X864 screen resolution

all sliders to max (except gamma its at 50%)

with all boxes checked except windowed mode and "full scene glare" which i think contributes to hazyness of the images...

in port and when around convoys im getting 90 to 100 FPS

open sea is somewhere in the nighborhood of 160 FPS

Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego sock 939 (single core)
2GB DDR400 RAM
XFX 7900GS factory overclocked
XP Home SP2
Integrated Sound (though a decent one with Toslink optical even)
1280x1024 on 17" Samsung LCD (with V-Sync manually enabled)

All graphic settings on max. No stuttering unless at time compression with numerous contacts on radar or while changing zoom on Nav map.

I suspect you're looking for some of the lower end specs and their experiences Skybird?

AMD Opteron @ 2.9Ghz
2Gig DDR
ATi X850XT
Sata-II HDD
Creative X-Fi
WinXP
1280x1024

I was running everything on high and getting 30+ fps even during battle scenes, then it rained, and I turned off whatever it was to get my frames out of the single digits. I think it was the fog as someone said above, because it continued to rain with 30fps graphics until the next time I loaded, now no incliment weather at all.

P4 3.0 GHz (hyperthread)
GeForce 6800 128MB
SATA hard drives
2GB DDR533 RAM

With everything maxed I average 15-25 fps 'outside' during the battles, 40-80 'inside'.
Disabling the environmental effects (transparent water disabled) takes me up to about 40-50 in the outside scenes.

Stable, no problem except a bit of mouse cursor lag when maxed out in battle.

Win XP SP2
AMD 3500 - overclocked to 2.5 GHZ
Plain old Nvidia 6800 128MB RAM
1 GB of top notch RAM

With low settings and texture quality set to high performance in nvidia control panel, I get between 20-26 FPS on the bridge. Why on earth I get low frames in the map view is beyond me.

I had to disable music or else the game seemed to swap alot more to the hard drive and it would stutter alot.

I need an upgrade :-)

PS - is there gonna be an AA patch? I hate jaggies. Also, hitting the "A" button for maintain depth crashes the game.

Thank you everybody.

I consider a game at 1024 resolution to be fully playable and almost smooth when frames at least reach 20. Wwith my P4-3 GHz, 1 GB RAM and 7800 GS (256, AGP) I think I am on the safe side, after having seen the reports here of users with comparable systems.

Will wait for the next patch, just be save from eventual real bugs, and then go for it.
