Agp - Pci-e

Hi, I have to update my AGP card in order to play SHIV but I would prefer to update to a PCI-E card to fit the next mobo, I know there is a PCI-E to AGP converter but is there an AGP to PCI-E converter? (PCI-E card to fit in AGP slot)
Thanks.

Edit: Why can't I get the title in Capitals???

No. There was one in 2005, made by Albatron, but it only worked for certain cards.

Thanks Gizzmoe, it is unfortunate that I won't be able to get a new mobo/Processor/Ram/Video card till the end of the year, but I think updating from 1 gig to 2 gig & getting a better AGP card for this system is probably not worth it considering the expense upgrading for the sake of several months! That's life!

Reece, I recall havingh read some time ago that there was a motherboard model with both slots available, AGP and PCIe (You could shift from one to the other via BIOS or jumpers). I'm speaking out of memory because I didn't pay much attention to that, so unfortunately I can't tell you even the brand, but it could be worth doing a search. Should make transition and gradual upgrading much easier and economic.
