I have just been patrolling the Solomon Islands and sank 2 large modern tankers and 2 small old tankers in 2 attacks.
Now ,very low on torpedoes and quite low on fuel I returned to the nearby base of Tulagi and received fuel and torpedoes. I then moved North intending to continue the patrol --met one single tanker and sank it. But examining my logs I found I was not credited with this last tanker which I sank after the refuel and retorpedo. Can a more experienced sea dog explain how this "refitting " at another base affects your patrol sinking credits.----Many thanks |

Not sure -- I always click "Refit" at Midway on my way to the Home Islands from Pearl Harbor, and I haven't had any uncredited sinkings after that. However, the difference is that it's only a fuel stop; I'm not taking on torpoedoes.
But I think it's more likely something else. In SH3, you sometimes didn't get credit for a sinking if you made it in bad weather and couldn't "see" the target from the sub (even if you used free cam to watch it go down). Could be something similar going on here, but that's just a guess.
