Has anyone got the same problem I have with SH4? I cannot get the different sub classes except the Balao, and S-class. I thought that by patching it, the patch would help but not so. Ive tryed war patrols, Campaigns and quick missions to no avail. I wanted to play any of the other classes and I even tryed using the mission editor and set up all the different fleet boats in a harbour to see if they where the same. Funny thing is when I put a Gato class and a Gar on the opposite side of the sub I was using (I had chose a Gato for that mission) the sub I always get was beside the Gato and the Gato had my crew on it! and it was the AI sub!!! The default sub I always get looks like an older tambor, and I even went to the museum to look at the different class of fleet boats.. I can't load any of em!
Does anyone else have this bug? I'd love to know what file to edit to play my fleet boats. Can you guys go look at your museum models and check to see if you got this problem too. could you also put some screen shots of the subs you are playing up ... Thx ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() I can safely say something is wrong with your game. I'm currently playing a Sargo class for one, and it has a distinct model. No config editing whatsoever should be required. One thing to keep in mind would be the starting date. If you play the early campaign or use the mission editor to set up a mission in 1941 or even 1938, you're not going to get any later sub classes. Try a 1943 or 1944 campaign and see what choices you get. Otherwise, sounds like your game install is borked. |

Sounds like it didn't install properly.I have had odd things happen when installing games and so have some of my friends (not necessarily missing features but odd things none the less).A friend of mine was installing falcon 4.0 and 3/4 through installation it gave him an error saying that a certain file was not able to load and that the game could not complete the install. After about a half an hour of going through and looking for old game files and attempting to reinstall a few times I told him to clean the disk just to make sure.He pulled the disk out, wiped it with his shirt and it installed no questions asked :rotfl:.Maybe something prevented your dvd drive from reading all the files off the disk.I would reinstall it to make sure and if that doesn't work then you may want to exchange it for another copy or contact UBIsoft

And, just to confirm, you are not using a cracked version, right? (Even if legally purchased, using any "no DVD" crack counts)
The devs have admitted that the game uses a 'FADE'-like protection, where various parts of the game break in bizarre ways intentionally when not using the original files. To be fair, never heard of this one, but it's something to consider. (Otherwise, as others have said, sounds like a borked install) |
