The 40mm AA gun does wonders against enemy ships. It seems as if the coding for the damage that the 40 mm shells do is set pretty high. I haven't counted how many rounds it takes but the enemy ships go up pretty quickly with what appears to me to be a modest output of shells. In several cases, the enemy ship has broken in two.
This seems a bit odd to me but Im no expert. |

I have used the AA batteries against merchant ships when I ran out of 88mm shells and torpedos in the last mission I did before it went nuts on me, basicly hit where the engine room is and where the waterline to which will destroy the ship. Oh and it helps if you happen to be close to the ship say about 20-30 metres away side by side.
