Default Can't install GWX mod

Hi guys, I just downloaded the GWX mod, but I get an error during the install...
I get an "abort - retry - ignore" Error occured while trying to copy a file...
"main movie Das Boot\data\movies\backgrd\back1.bik"

Does anyone know which BIN file contains this file so I know which bin file to re-download? I don't want to re-download all the bin's again.

This is a clean and fully patched install of SH3.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Cap,

I can imagine that one of the bin files you downloaded is corrupted. It happeded to me too. What you need to do is go here http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/GWX/ and download MD5Mate (under OTHER (RECOMMENDED) FILES). This program will allow you to verify whether the files are ok or corrupted. Open MD5mate, select GWX-1.bin, copy the hash string from the webpage (dd49c260f3f6f7bb0d93de6bef5f3462) and click compare. Do the same with the rest of the bin files until you spot the offending bin. Youll then have to redownload it.
If you aborted the GWX installation process, it will not roll back to the original SHIII files so youll have to reinstall the game aswell before reatempting GWX. Dont forget about the GWX 1.03 patch, the optional stuff, and SH3Commander. Good luck.

Grey.

Or alternatively, d/l the GWX.md5 file and save to the same folder that contains the GWX exe and bin files. Then open GWX.md5 in MD5Mate (second tab) and it will automatically check them all in one go.

I guess that's ^ why after the GWX failed, the game would crash.
I thought, oh well, guess I'll play a little vanilla SH3. Wrong... hehe

Well, I found the bad file, was gwx-2.bin. Might want to check the file from that last filefront link for that 2.bin file. Downloaded twice from that link and was corrupt each time.
Got the mod installed and I'm quite impressed! Feels like a different game, although I didn't make it out of port without crashing. Ha ha
Got caught in a sound loop error.
I'm going to update my sound drivers and see what happens. I haven't updated them for awhile.
So far I like what I see, I just need to get the boat nice and weathered

Thanks for the help guys!

Confirmed. I've just downloaded this file twice and both times the MD5 sums do not match.

Nice catch.
