TDC Question

Hello Sub Sim. I was wondering if one of you could please tell me how to find a ships baring (bearing?), and with that, how to determine a ships speed. Also, is it possible to set the difficulty to force manual TDC configuration for everyhting except target speed?

Not that I'm good with manual TDC of course... I usually just eyeball the target. Yarrr...
