Default Manual Speed and Direction Entry

How do you enter these manually?

Thanks in advance.

Using the TDC dials. Just click and drag.

My bad. I should have been more specific. DOH!

I'm refering to setting the speed and direction of your sub by entering a number rather than using the guages.

You can't do that.

You have to use the gauges. Direction can also be set by pressing the + key when looking through the TDC, binoculars or the scope. It changes the heading to the direction you're viewing.

The method I used a lot in SH3 is the following:
With 0 rudder:
First press - Change view to heading
Press + Change heading to view WITHOUT changing view! The helmsman will call out the "new" heading. Then adjust your view to the heading you want and press +.

Example: when you want to go to heading 270, and the helmsman calls out that the current heading is 294. I change view to 336 (=360 - 24) and press +. Nice thing is that the helmsman will call out the new course eg 294, if not set rudder to 0 and retry.

Good luck
