The SH4 Tweak Thread

I just thought you guys would like a place to post links to tweaks, or some good information regarding SH4, such as how to improve FPS, squeeze more out of your system, or to make sure everything works as it should. I cant play the game very well with my old video card, but at least I can try and make your experience better

First of all, have a look at this, if you have a large Virtual Memory Paging File - it helps keep it uncluttered and efficient:

Maybe the moderators could sticky this once it gains momentum.

If you use an LCD monitor, I'd suggest opening the
My Documents/SH4/Data/Cfg/Main.cfg file with notepad and under [Graphics] changing

Synchronization = No
to
Synchronization = Yes

File-> Save

and exit.

Edit: fixed file path

We have way too many stickies already. If you like you can compile the informations and send them to me, I´ll then post them in the first post of the "Technical Help and Questions" thread.

The "I have SH4 in my hands right now!" thread can probably be unstickied I'd think Gizzmoe.

I guess Tech help would certainly be the place to put stuff such as this. However, it gets to be a real mess after getting extremely long with all the pages.

I havent found a tweak yet that improves FPS on my system.
Except turning enviroment effects off, but its a simple one everyone would try that anyway.
