[REQ] captain's log: remove old messages

not sure if its possible but im in need of somehow having old messages removed from the log. my game freezes up when i try to go into the log because there is so much crap in it. if week or two old messages preferably only recieved as i like to compare my status reports could be erased it would be awesome. a couple people responded to my post about it saying they waited up to 5 minutes but it took mine over 20 and i clicked it again without recieving any new messages and it froze again...so...if this is possible i think people would appreciate it. i know i would
