Default Please Help With GWX 1.02 Patch

Hello all!

I have been away for some time and am in need of some help. I have installed the GWX Mod. First off, I uninstalled SH III and patched to 1.4b to ensure a fresh install. I then installed GWX but I can't install the 1.02 patch. It says that "GWX needs to be installed with or without hot fixes" before I can apply the patch. I have infact installed GWX, not with the JSGME program, and I did fire up SH III to verify that the GWX mod was installed. I even deleted everything in my mods folder with the exception of the GWX folder but it still gives me the error message. I am lost and would appreciate any and all help from this wonderful community of WW II sub sim enthusiasts. Thank you for your time and help in advance.

When you uninstalled SH3, did you FULLY remove the files and folders left behind? Not doing so leaves files that are just waiting to "taint" your reinstallation.

I didn't search the registry, so maybe that's what I need to do. Thanks for the reply. I'll uninstall again and search for any lingering files.

You shouldn't need to clean the registry. I supose you can if you want. Did you remove the SH3 folder in the "my documents" folder? That's usually the one people forget to remove.

I hadn't removed that folder the first time but I did last night, after another uninstall. I still received the same message when trying to apply the patch even after deleting that folder. There must be something I'm missing though so I will check again and do another uninstall. Thanks for all of your help.
