Fog that develops slowly, and has heavier and lighter patches. They also said dynamic clouds, meaning they will change as we watch, just like real life.

Default Cloud shadows too

There will be cloud shadows that correspond to the clouds overhead and change with them--very cool. I do not know, but I expect that we may well encounter typhoons! I think we are going to see a much more real weather model. The emphasis and work on SH4 seems to have been to enhance the exterior world first and the sub's interior world second. Remember, the goal of the developers is to attract the casual gamer, who is probably not a simulation fan.

Better weather was my #1 for improvement in the game. Always felt a bit irritated that such an important evironmental factor was rather limp in Sh3.

Dynamic fog.......oh yes, I like the sound of that.

I hope we will be able to get weather reports from HQ and other ships. If they don't have it then maybe someone could add it as a mod?

What does it mean when the DEV says Quote" if this would be a calmer mission and i could surface ". Didnt they give a hint of crew getting washed off in heavy seas or something like that .

The Sub was in the middle of heavy action so not a good idea to surface.
