SH3/GWX v1.02. Having trouble, Chaps and Chapessess.....Is there a patch/mod to get a more accurate Compass Display and Depth Display. I am encountering discrepancies on both between the required Bearing/Depth selected and the Helmsmans voice. This is particularly annoying on the depth side when trying to hold depth in a sea swell.....half my boat is breaking the surface.
Bearing is not such a great problem....I can use Rudder to correct. Also, can you tell me how to employ the Medic when someone is injured. Surely he's not on board just to inspect the nether regions of the crew (as seen in Das Boot!). In advance....thanks for anyones help.....Dusty. |

For big dials, have a look at :
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=106127 For the Medic, put it in the same rest compartment as you wounded guy. For the depth, in GWX when you travel 2 knots or less, your boat is rising about 2 m above the requested depth.

Thank you so very much. Looking at the pics on the mod 2 for dials etc, just what my old eyes need.
However I do not know how to get it onto my SH3/GWX1,02. I do not have Jone's thing (jsmeg?) so I do not know how and where to put things. Sorry to be a pain but I'm not very good at this sort of thing. Could I trouble you to reply with a "kiddies guide" as to how I can get the mod on? I assume I have to be in harbour:SH3 Commander "off"...and thats about my lot. Thanks a million again......Dusty |

JSMEG
![]() JSGME was installed when you installed GWX, it's in the program folder.

Thank you both for your input. It seems however that my new "pooter" HP Media Center doesnt like the mod. If however you do have anything further, be much obliged.
HP m7630 uk Media Center Desktop. Base Processor Intel Core Duo E6300 (C) DC 1.86GHz (this might be my problem?) Motherboard Asus P5BW-LA. Memory 2GB. H/D 320GB SATA 3G (3.0Gb/sec) Happy Hunting.....Dusty |

I have diligently tried to obtain larger, more accurate, compass and depth dials for use within GWX 1.02. I believe my problem may be the very high resolution on my Media Center....Its natural state works at 1280x1024 pix...32bit colour. If I reduce either or both, I get very elongated video. Can anyone help me out on this one...it would be so nice to be a little more accurate than to have my helmsman going "all ways, which ways" just to hit a specific bearing....Cheers fellows....Dusty.
P.S. Just to put my info right...." 25yrs RN...5 Surface, Vand W's as Frigates, Bird Class Frigate, Dear old HMS Collingwood for courses then 20yrs in boats. Mainly Diesel and Diesel Electric....never wanted "Nukes"....Finished up Fleet Chief REL. |
