Default Getting Out of Halifax - Suggestions?

Guten Abend, Kaleuns!

I absolutely love GWX. I fear an addiction is developing...

It's February 1943, and I'm in a IXC/40. On my post-patrol return to the North Atlantic milch cow, I thought I'd pay a not-so-friendly visit to Halifax, Canada. After sinking two large vessels totalling some 21000 tons (for a sortie total of over 46000 tons), I think the Canadians are little peeved, because there's 3-4 enemy warships trying to destroy me (including at least one destroyer). My mean course for escape is SE, and I've been manoeuvring while submerged (at periscope depth - depth under keel = 5 metres) from starboard to port and back at flank speed in this direction. Depth charging doesn't seem to be worrying me. However, I'm finding that I'm being rammed and sunk after about 3-5 minutes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might be able to get out with a minimum of damage?

Cheers in anticipation!

Recommend taking the train to Ontairio and setting up
a nice home.
( ask a canadian from anyother province a Fascist would blend into
the crowd best in Ontario over other places in Canada I advise toronto

Stay away from the arm-pit of Canada, come to the Atlantic Provinces, Great Lakes, give me a break.

Sounds like it might be worth re-watching "The 49th Parallel" for some hints if you ask me..
