Yesterday I was on my way to patrol the coast of Port Said when my watch crew spotted a Hurricane coming at me. Since I've just upgraded my tower to a VIIC/2 with two double barreled 2cm, I've decided to give it a try and stay on the surface.
As soon as I moved my two flak gunners on deck, the Hurricane turned away. Cautious as I am, I left my gunners on duty. 15 minutes (game time) later I faced 2 Hurricanes and one Anson. Coincidence or are the planes in SH3 (respectively GWX) really that smart? |

I am pretty sure once you have been spotted by air that they will continue to hound you in that area from that point on. At least for me that has seemed to be the case. I can cruise on the surface for a day or two without being spotted or seeing very many if any aircraft...but if one spots me it seems that everytime I pop my head up from that point on within a the hour I will have another group over my position.

hi there, yes they will call for reinforcments. its the same with ships. spot a lone merchant and if they spot you they will call for help, so any dd in the area will come and hunt you down.
i saw one hurricane and i opened fire, i didnt shoot it down though i kept missing. he went away for about 6 hours and eventually he returned with the whole bloody RAF with him ![]()
