Default U-boat Interior

were U-boats interiors of the black/grey colour that you see in Das Boot and Sh3 or were they white inside? Any pics would be appreciated.

You have probably seen this as well. You would think because of the lighting in subs that they would want to have lighter colors so to make it easier to see, get around.

Not all where painted white inside. Some had the old fasioned grey corrosion resistant paint.

great stuff! thanks. you know i dont re-call seeing a depth gauge with the green, yellow and red colouring on that we see in films and games.
