Default sh3 Quit

I'm up to july 21 1943. I load the game today and all of a sudden I get A message that says ,Microsoft encounterd a problem with SH3 and must shut down. It then asked me to send a error report which i did. I eliminated A few saved games and still get the same thing. Well I decided to start all over again and deleted the game and reinstalled it, guess what same thing. I have two copies of sh3 and using the other one, same results. Is this A microsoft problem? I've been playing this game since 05 with no problems on the same computer

Hi mate, and welcome to Subsim!
Do you have any mods installed? You could try to reinstall the game, and if so, remember to remove ALL files connected to the previous installation.

Same thing was happening to me, hopefully I can help ya out. Always defrag before playing. Make sure your internet connection is off and then you can turn off your virus protection. Make sure you have the latest drivers. I went to Ati site and downloaded mine. I also added a fan to computer to get rid of heat inside of tower. Havent had a problem since. Good luck.

If you are running XP or 2000, the event log might give you a clue as to what module, service, .dll, app or exe ( whatever), has misbehaved, so that you can then give more detail to folks who might be able to help.

For the event log you need to go to Administrative Tools and open Event Viewer and then click on Applications and System icons to open them. Take note of any error messages recorded at the time you encounterd the problem. Even if you do not understand what you read, someone else might.
