hi i need some help i just got a windows vista computer and i cant get silent hunter 3 to work on this machine is there a way to get it to work

I have no idea about Vista (I haven't even seen them yet) but SH3 was originally built for Windows 2000 and XP, so there is a chance you might need some new drivers or something. I'm sorry for not being more usefull but I hope someone will know more about it than I do.

I don't have any experience with Vista either, but is there the option to run it in compatability mode for XP? I would think that the option would still be under the games properties.

Solution- install XP on another partion or drive (do a google search on duel boot)

Problem solved.

Personally Im not ditching XP for at least another 6 months, everything works fine on XP, Vista (like every MS O.S in its first year) will likely be an incompatible mess with some current (and older) drivers, games and proggys not designed to run on it.
As for xp compatibilty mode, if there is one - do you remember the win98 compatibility mode for XP? bluuurrrrgghhhh!!!

If you have VISTA its worth having XP too - at least for the time being.

Do a search in Subsim. there is a thread to the effect that the problem is the starfarce drivers.
