Nice Find in 1.04---One For the AirDales

Deleted because I was blatantly wrong, although still availabled as quoted below... I blame on lack of sleep and in the increased height of the 688i sail model.

On the plus side, everything I say about the mh60 dipping cable below is true.

Cheers,
David

Eh, they should have set it to needing to be as high as the highest waves, and made the launcher start "empty" so that you'd have to "reload" to simulate the time it takes to bust the equipment out.

Oh well, I ususally surface all the way anyways. :p

You'll never be happy... :hmm:

I dunno, I'd imagine I could get through a hatch pretty fast with a MANPAD if I thought I was going to die.

Cheers,
David

Another nice find is that the max speed of the MH60 dipping sonar cable seems to have been increased... which means that snapping dipping sonar cables should be much more rare, which is a great thing. They have also fixed the buoyancy problems of the cable, so it should sink properly rather than curling under the surface when it is deployed.

I've carried the stronger cable change over to LWAMI, although users of LWAMI have been enjoying the cable buoyancy fix for some time now.

Cheers,
David

Of course I won't.

I'd imagine someone could get through the hatch just the same whether the hull was exposed to the red paint or if just the sail was up, whether or not he thought he was going to die.

The non-improved Chicom Kilos only use the SA-7. That thing shouldn't even have all-aspect capability. The -14's a bitch though. Small warheads on both...maybe they could do a little damage modeling instead of a straight 100% kill... Any hit is still a mission kill and an RTB though. Buuwwahahahaha!

Yeah, well don't get too excited, because I was wrong about this one.

I was fooled by the size of the 688i sail... they didn't recalibrate the threshold along with the new sail station position on the model so you have to be about 7 ft above the water to get to the sail... I tested 688i up to about 5ft above the water and then made my post.

SO, in the interest of being thorough I wanted to go back and check them ALL and it turns out I was blatantly wrong about this. So this would mark the second time in the last month I blew it (the other being about SQ being a guy).

Sorry.

Cheers,
David

7ft above the water eh?
I can deal with that.

Of course, I won't actually be happy unless its variable based on sea state. And until I get my timer. But then again, I'll never be happy.:p:p:p

Apparently not that well. You'd have to really embarrass yourself badly for me to get any pleasure out of it. And it would have to be funny.

This wasn't anywhere close. :p
