I have been researching the U-123 for some time now, but still can't find what she had painted on the conning tower, if anything. If some one knows please let me know. Thanks....

If you use GWX, have a look at the "U-123.tga" somewhere among your files, or just paint your boat with this mark.

pg 10-11 of Operation Drumbeat says that painted on the conning tower was "representations of the badge given to soldiers who had been wounded three times in battle: crossed swords against a helmet surrounded by laurel wreaths.", then later a drum.

You can definitly see this on the picture that Bigboy sent over. No question on the conning tower now. Cool beans, now you can make one
