Hey, Everyone
My favorite sub would have to be the type XXI, from a technical standpoint it is simply amazing IMHO. Which btw is there any mod or anything that allows you to get the type XXI sub right off the bat in career mode? I know you can get the sub around 1944 but by then the war is almost over and that doesn't give you much time to break her in. Regrads, Ryan |

if I was actually in WW2 I would want to be on a IID.
Why? Because they dive faster than any other boat, stay in shallow waters, weren't sent on risky patrols and came back in a couple of weeks at most. That means they are relatively safe from aircraft and lone destroyers and you get plenty of time in port. The crews where all well trained as well because they had almost all trained before the war and done peacetime patrols. Anything for the easy life. ![]()

The VIIB/C
I like the manouverability and the fast diving time. It`s also the true image of a u-boat. |

Assuming the files are in place...
IXC/40. More fuel than an IXC, just as many torpedo's, and not as big as an IXD2. However, ive given up long range patrols. Im quite happy in the med, putting around in VIIC at the moment. Quick patrols by comparision, and the theater is kinda fun. |

Going to go with the popular one so far;
I just love my Type VIIC - Just for it's extra kit capabilities later into the war and its crash dive timings ![]() |

Dönitz was a VIIC-fan himself.
