Default Damage Control Party Status ?

I'm still having a hard time understanding the DC Party scheme in this boat. I go to F7. When I click on the DC 'set-up' for Surface Cruising, the whole DC crew shifts around EVERY TIME I click on that icon. I'd have thought that a 'click' would set the watch, maybe another click 'secure the detail'... and when 'set' I could then alter the personel assigned to the Party if I wanted to. Maybe I'm reading too much Realism into Damage Control ??

You could be...you have the choice to let the game sort your crew in 'generalised' terms or you can 'micro manage' them yourself

I'll try to 'leave it to UBI' on my next patrol... Which also happens to be my next 'career', thanks to being caught on the surface..... and the DC gang couldn't control the flooding. R.I.P.

I still 'steam' along, underway, with a designated DC party...in 'dangerous' waters...[no pun intended, 'DW'...]

Hi Chief,

If I were you, I would avoid using those buttons all together. Sooner or later you're gonna experience a chrash, since there is a bug associated with one or more of the buttons - but only in certains conditions.
Wouldn't it be a shame to loose a really good mission?

So.... Sven.... what do YOU do...? Just drag up some random crewmembers into the Damage Control Crew ? It seems a mistake to NOT have a DC Crew in place when you are In Harm's Way... In most ships, whenever steaming at Other Than Normal, some of the crew's battle stations are in D.C....
