Default GWX has the same sound as Seawolves Med!!!

No matter how I put it this will be taken wrong.

But, the sound in GWX is the sound from Seawolves or at least the same sound I assume by the sound maker who sold it to Seawolves then gave it to GWX.
I have had these sounds since the first beta SW-Med a year ago. They were in SW-Med when it was released before the first TGW so please don’t start the SW stole it stupidity. Simple math dictates this.
Here is the irony for me. I take SW as a mod for those that don’t DL and tweak for whatever reason don’t mind paying to get an add on and not for those of us that are more serious about making this a better sim for U-Boaten.
Therefore these sounds remind me of the gamer version of SH3 add ons and not the serious side.
It might just be my association and maybe these are better but I hear gamey and I am moving the GW1.1, RUB, NYGM and other individual sound mods I have acquired into GWX because in spite of what some may think I do not want GWX to sound like Seawolves.
It does seem a little funny, GWX copied SW, even if it was unintentional, that is what happened. Excuse me if I:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

my 2 cents leave this forum and never post again , you have been branded by the sh3 people as a supporter of theft, a corrupt company and a weak and pathetic mod with spyware, sounds like ur typical nazi :hmm:

but then again hes not a real nazi hes more of a "SW pro nazi" which has nothing to do with world history.

So what bothers you, the truth or someone that does not agree with your every thought?
That does seem a bit more Nazi!!
So then, you like the same SW sound pack in your GWX????

What do you mean when you say "sound"? All sounds?

No, but the main "changes" are the same as SW-Med (I never had the first SW). Torpedo doors and explosions, gun sounds, engine noises. DCes and various other sounds make it feel (in sounds only) like I am playing SW-Med.
Since most here have never played it they will not notice but for me it is like being back there and I will simply re install a few files and all will be just fine.
You just have to see the irony and laugh.
As I said, they maker likely just offered them to both parties but as we have seen above the simple minds can not fathom such realities and go straight to name calling.

Interesting...
Im the Soundman of GWX, so this is expecially interesting for me, because you say that i have "accidentaly" taken so many sounds from seawolves mediterranean?

Ok, I just heard about the first Seawolves and hate it because... well, everyone on this board should know why...

Anyway... The most sounds from GWX are veeery old, from many games or other authors and collected over month - month long before the actual release of this SW stuff... and the others are mixed by me...

I would like to hear the SW sounds to check this out myself...
Who made the sounds for SW:Med?

Mh, strange: "...Torpedo doors and explosions, gun sounds, engine noises. DCes and various other sounds..."

Torpedo Doors? Maybe... dunno where i get this sound from
Explosions? NO WAY - I made them myself, just a few month before GWX release!
Gun Sounds? I doubt that... but possible
Engines? Maybe... dunno where i get this sound from
DC exp.? Surely not. Maybe the DC main explosion, but surely not the "Depth charges exploding from submarine.wav"

You should be more precise...

Oh and by the way. GWX did MUCH, but GWX did NOT "copied" this SW:Med BS...
GWX is much more than... ah i better dont start this...

GWX "sounds" great to me. I have no clue what "SW" is nor care.

BTW no "namecalling" from me! Just stating I love GWX with whatever sounds it has in it. Great job.

I would love to see X1 sue someone over this. Seriously, heads would roll.

I don't want to spell out exactly what I'm saying here because of what John said, but I think people here can guess exactly what I'm leaving unsaid

Yup, It's more than a little ironic.

OT:
Wulfmann...your Thomas Jefferson quote in your sig is a wee bit o' bull. I can name 5 countries just from memory that have tyrannical government and the right to bear arms.
