Default Just a reminder..

Remember to check your plotted route in close-up zoom before going into high TC, especially if your operating out of Jakarta... I plotted a course through the Sunda-strait, without spotting the tiny island in the middle of it...
Running at high TC near shore (sh3commander tweak) i didnt realize it was there before i smacked right into it, and sank my boat. This warning goes for all of the area between Australia and up to the south-china sea: Watch out for those small islands!!!
BTW: GWX ROCKS!!

Don't worry Seth, your not the first to run aground in Australian waters (captain Cook had that honour!) I remember a Cargo ship that was traveling thought the great barrier reef manaaged to run into a reef, despite all the navagation gear they had on board. It turned out the was booze on the bridge as well! That doesn't help navigation at all!!!

A well lubricated navigator is not much help in a coral sea!

The Australians can't afford mine fields and thus tow uncharted islands into your path instead. Beware.

Awe man, I did that just north of England. This tiny pin ***** of an island. Cruising along and bang...my watch crew was sprawled all over the beach. My boat was bent in the middle and the damn airbags did not deploy
