Try this MD5 file and see if it makes a difference.

Your selected install folder is not valid. In this case, the installer identified modded files. You need to ensure that the installation folder you select is a clean, unmodded copy of SH3 patched to v1.4. Nothing else and no other changes.

You are getting two totally different things confused here.

1. When you d/l all the GWX pieces, including the GWX.md5 file, you then open the GWX.md5 file in MD5Compare. If you get 6 ticks, then all is fine. Your files are most likely not corrupted.

2. The detail you have posted is BEYOND that stage and UNRELATED. The error message you have posted has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH the d/l of GWX. The above message is indicating that you have selected an installation folder within the installer that has failed validation. AGAIN, nothing to do with whether the GWX files are corrupt or not.

You appear to have stated that MD5Compare returned 6 ticks - great, your d/l files are NOT corrupted. You simply need to ensure that the installation of SH3 that you are trying to select is clean and unmodded and patched to v1.4. If not, as is the current case, uninstall, reinstall and patch and try again.

Good luck.

I *think* I now understand what you've done. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you d/l GWX, started the install (without MD5 comparing first), then the installer informed you of a corrupt file part way through installation.

You exited and tried again, this time the installer failed to validate the install folder (because some GWX files had already been copied) and produced the above log.

If so, then while you are re-d/l the two corrupt pieces, you will need to uninstall and reinstall SH3 and patch again.

A good reminder to all to do MD5Compares *before* installing GWX.

I think reinstalling SH3 will be painful enough, LOL. This time, create a copy of it *after* you have installed and patched it. Then, if you have any more problems, just re-copy the backup and rename.

No, there's not yet. One of the reasons why I have kept it at Beta stage. I wrote it in a day especially in time for the release of GWX and haven't had further time to develop a help file. Still, I thought it was relatively intuitive. :hmm:

Yes, run SH3/GWX once. This creates certain files that SH3Cmdr needs to communicate with.
