I am running SH3 with GWX and would like some help navigating the Kiel Canal. I have found the automatic course plotter for the Kiel Canal and I know where the Canal In navigation point is. What I can't locate is the out point. I have even tried plotting the out course from my dock location but it does not match up correctly. Where should I steer to to use the Out course? Can someone assist?
Thanks |

Odd
I normally just bring up the Patterns - select out route then click on the nav to follow course and boat sails off ok Try moving the boat forward first then click rturn to course through Nav |

Well it worked that time, go figure. On my first attempt the course plotted east overland. I even deleted it and replotted to make sure I hadn't hit in instead of out.
Oh well it seems to work now. Thanks |

Sounds like you hit the inbound pattern
So the plot will go from your sub to the start of the inbound point ![]() |

When I saw that little button I had just gotten done plotting my way all through that little canal. When I went to try it on my next patrol, it didn't seem to work. The course was plotted but it went to the east and I wanted out. I clicked on both out and in and I still couldn't get the plot ti align right.
Do you have to be in a certain position to get it to work? Or, can you move a bunch of waypoints together as one? (Then I could manually position them all over the canal.) Thanks! ![]()
