I saw some video on YouTube
that lead me to believe there are sizeable tides in the part of the world. If so, that could limit the times at which SSBNs (and many other warships for that matter) could enter and leave the harbor. |

Yes i think, it is true.
There is one more Documentary Russian film - "Returning of Red October" - Excursion onboard SSBN Delta during training in the "Barents Sea".

did I see a "shroud" on the propellor of one of the Typhoon's in that video?
Similar to what is on the "Seawolf" class sub that is modeled in DW, and I assume, because I've never seen any pictures, of one on the Seawolf in RL. |
