Default Crew Spooked = Detected Still In GWX???

Guys..... I am sad to say that I was reading old posts and I came across the post that clued me into the fact that my crewmembers are always hunched over and whispering when I am detected by the AI.

So, I know if I am detected or not just by looking at my crew.

This is the type of thing that warrents a death of a DEV from the original product.

Anybody (betatesters, anyone???) have any idea if this was "fixed" in GWX? If not I guess I will just have to not look at my crew during attacks?

What an absolute 100% bull**** childrens videogame weak minded thing to have in a sim.

Default Ignorance is bliss!

Well I feel your pain Brother, but now you've woken everybody up to it, including me, and I would've rather been blissfully ignorant.

Maybe you could delete your post/thread, before there are too many innocent victims?

I think you'll find that there was actually a multi-paged thread relating to this a few days ago. I believe it was entitled "tell me its not that easy".

So i believe that the cat is well and truly out of the bag..

Ok , so you know if you are detected by the crew letting you know . I dont have a problem with this . So you would rather look at your crew and they reply WHAT DESTROYER , DESTROYER DESTROYER , I CARNT SEE A DESTROYER . OOOOOHHHHH THAT DESTROYER . BOOM .

The crew's response is hardcoded, so no SDK = No fix.

There will never be a fix without an SDK

It's just one of the many quirks we will have to live with.

The 3D animation of the crew reacting to a threat is hard-coded... The voice and text response IS NOT hard-coded and has been disabled in GWX...

... as is the "We have flooding!" initital message that is prone to loop. "We have heavy flooding!" and "We have critical flooding!" are far more infrequent and will remain... for obvious reasons.

Yeah... this is a problem with merchants, but if a ship is armed and you've been seen, you will be fired upon only seconds later.

LOL, even the merchants have appropriate teeth now.

I know I've been hit in the conning tower, lost my scopes and my watch crew from a Medium Merchant
