My company just bought a fish tank for the production office. I picked up the Lindberg "SS Gato Fleet Submarine," weathered her, blew a hole in the side, and built an interior out of foil and photo etch.
When I drove into work, the ballast came loose and destroyed the interior. Grrr... Regardless, here's what's left of her, in all of her "glory." http://www.upgne.com/images/FishySub.JPG

Are you sure that the paint and material are safe for the fish? Usually, I think fish tank ornaments are made of such materials (usually resin, but I'm not an expert in the area
![]() ![]() BTW - you can get actual U-Boat models for fish tanks - I see them on eBay all the time. I think the model was of a VIIC, but I'm not sure now. I've also seen a Bismarck wreck for fish tanks, although it was in a lot better condition than the actual Bismarck wreck. |

I sealed her up well, so I'm crossing my fingers that they'll be okay. The tank has three goldfish in it right now, nothing else, and they're from WalMart at that, so they're probably "Dead Fish Swimming" to begin with.
