XM satellite radio

I've been driving around a Cadillac CTS for the last few days and it has this XM radio system in it. I am still weighing in on whether I like it or not. It is cool in that you have commercial free music of any variety you want. My biggest complaint however is that it has hiss and noise in it, kind of like it is not coming in strong. FM radio sounds better for example.

I guess my question is, does anyone else have any experience with this system? I am wondering if this is normal. I guess it sounds better than AM, but worse than FM. It is rather annoying I think.
