Default singletons during late war years

a question for those who made it through late war years: does the quantity of single ships decrease progressively? i mean after 1941 - 1942. are there more convoys and less single merchants or it is (approximatively) as in 1939? or there are no singletons at all at the end of the war?

From 1943, convoys are rare and youll be lukcy to get near them without getting detected. planes are everywhere and smell you from miles away like shark to blood. Lots off single DDs floating about and less single merchent contacts.
War is hell.

I have made it to 1943 and there are not many single vessels. Occasionally I would find two without escort. Yes, progressively the singletons are few.

I have found two vessels steaming along around New York. Other than that it is convoy city.

It usually depends on the area of operations. Generally speaking you encounter more convoys in the later years, but if you hunt in the area around Cuba, Rio de janeiro, Gulf of Mexico and the Med you tend to find single merchants or small convoys (2-3 merchants with one DD)
