Default CTD and memory dump with GW1.1a + SH3 com and jgsme

I,m playing sh-3 with GW1.1a latest version of sh3 commander and jgsme with fubars viib skin (although in know its allready in GW1.1 . I had an occasional ctd from time to time but now on my 11th patrol and i,m near the african coast and i can not finish the patrol because i get ctd after ctd and evey a blue screen which says memory dump or something . Sh3 was installen fresh with the patch and the above mentioned mods . Why only an occasonal ctd and then suddenly i get them one after another in patrol 11? i get the most of the times when running on 1024 x TC . but when i play it real time no garantee it wont ctd . and it would take ages . I thought it happened only after saving but found out yesterday thats not what triggers it .

I´m also encountering crashes on EVERY patrol. Some of them might be caused by programmes running in the background. Open the taskmanager BEFORE starting SH3 and close any "update" and Antivirus/Firewall programme. Also look for a programme called "soundman", if it is running, close it. Reduce hardware acceleration on your soundcard settings (you can do this in: Start - execute: dxdiag

I also had some issues with modded .ogg speech files. Try using the speech and sound files that come with SH3 stock game, especially if you have one of those nasty onboard soundchips.

I bought a cheap soundcard, disabled the onboard sound (Bios), and voila, no more sound-related crashes.

Hope some of the tipps help you!

Cheers, AS
