Default Ahead Flank issues?

Sometimes when selecting ahead flank either submerged or surfaced they will say "yes sir, ahead flank" then the engines go to ahead slow. Can run all speeds except this one. This does ont happen all the time. First it happened after I had some hull damage from running aground (do NOT ask, LONG story but still no excuse) so I thought it was due to engine damage of some sort but next patrol it happened again shortly after leaving port.

Only does this maybe 5% of the time and sometimes later in the patrol flank will become available again. Have tried switching out engine crews to no avail when it occurs.

Running a VIIB, but has happened with a IIA as well. Using RuB and some other hand picked mods.

Also running SH3 commander and am beginning to think I may have been sabotaged!

Thanks in advance,
Chuck

You almost certainly have been sabotaged. Or at least suffered a mechanical breakdown. All praise SH3 Commander!

heh I had something similar happen yesterday. I was sitting still waiting for a Tribal Destroyer to come perfectly into view . I took him down easily and then kicked up the engines to return to course. The officer would say, "Yes sir, ahead full/one third/slow/standard/flank" (depending on what I put it at of course) and the speed setting would change, but the engines would never kick in. Was absolutely sure that there were people in the engine compartment and ready to go, everything looked green, but it wouldn't get started. I had to hit "dive" then kick in the engines for themto finally start.
