Pixelated Textures Question

I have an Nvidia 6800 GTX card and a Westinghouse LCD monitor. I notice that the smoke coming from ships or factories looks very pixelated. Getting close to a ship causes the same type of effect however, it's not as bad. Any recommended setting for AA or AS filtering to help with this problem?

Any screen shot ?

In my ATI, reducing the AA and AS produce pixelated effect and blury textures, try increasing them as minimun as posible up to you be satisfied considering the FPS reduction.
