Default June 1942 - summer vacation for RN and RAF?

My last patrol (from May 29th to June 26th 1942) was very strange. Grid to patrol was AL53. On the way to it and in it there there was no sign of activity. OK lets leave it, but I got bored. Headed to good old fishing seas around AM52. After two weeks I gave up - the only ship I saw was a hospital bound to America. I'm very cautious but then I decided to head nearest Royal Navy base - Loch Ewe. Headed on surface at full speed between Hebrides and Scotland, waiting for air attack - nothing. My flak gunners got very very bored so I decided at last to bring ordinary watch crew to the bridge. When I reached Loch Ewe entrance, I was SO bored. I stayed on surface and my gun crew destroyed two armed trawlers almost at once. Then a torpedo boat joined the action - but my gun crew and me (manning one of my boat's Flakzwilling) made her an short end. Then I headed towards base on periscope depth running silent, sank Nelson-class battleship, Fiji-class cruiser and v&W-class destroyer in two rounds. But somehow I felt that my actions were way too cautious that morning. No sign of ANY ACTIVITY from britons... Got away successfully. On my way home found only one ship - a hospital again... Dear friends, its 1942, not 1940

Yeah, I notice some non-aggressive enemy from time to time. Usually in ports where moored ships turn on their lights and spot you but do not move. Just sit there waiting to be sunk. I believe it is just a game glitch. But yes, I have sailed about for days with nothing to talk about either. But, its that fat convoy that pops up after those endless days that make it all worth it!

But I'm on next patrol now and this one is thrilling...At first lone-runner heavily armed large cargo (2 large guns and 6 smaller) and then a convoy. I'm dealing with the convoy right now and testing my new Falke's. 2 destroyers got hit...and one large cargo... Arrgghh...

Sometimes the sea appears totally empty. It isn't though. I cannot remember any time when I return home with torpedos. Usually if I cannot find a ship I go and raid any harbour I can find. You can always find enemy ships there (even in neutral harbours)

I always patrol my sector, and then I go fishing in the shipping lanes or ports. As bdu would tell you: Be more agressive!

Btw: High tc prevents planes from spawning. I was once fighting a pt boat for quite a while, when a B-24 came out of nowhere. That sucked in a good way. (My three dead gunners probably wouldn`t agree, but hey)

I'm very concerned about planes. All of my previous careers ended by them. Most notable was a very well co-ordinated attack of five Sunderlands. Now I have made some tweaks using SHIII Commander - if any plane noticed, the game pauses automatically.
