Default After a week of troubleshooting my computer is ready for GWX

So with the impending release of the GWX beta which I'm fortunate enough to have been invited to I have underwent nearly a week of computer troubleshooting to get my box set for the demands of testing GWX.

What was frustrating was the fact that when I reformatted my windows install partition (separate from my data file partition) my IDE drive decided to become buggered. As I went to install I got the message "Disk error". After much tweaking and reformatting and a few nervous breakdowns I managed to figure out how to get by this problem. I merely switched my Master and Slave drives (my dad uses a Sada for Linux) and wrote all the boot info to the Sada. Apparently all these years of tinkering and reinstalling and reformatting and so on has made the boot sector of my IDE die. Now I have resolved the issue and interestingly enough the rest of the IDE works enough for me to retain it as a data drive. I will say that the use of Linux and it's partitioning progs (SuSe10.0 is a good build) made determining the problem easier. Now all is well and this is the first time I've felt at ease sitting down to my computer in a week.

Now I can look forward to helping the GWX project with GREAT personal sacrifice of my time.:rotfl::rotfl:

Has any one else been preparing as MADLY as I have for this event?
