Great video thanks for sharing! I am just wondering how they got some of that footage... especially teh periscope shots and the facial closeups.. I understand the spaces inside a uboat are quite cramped.

This (panoramic movie tour) is probably the best damn view of the inside of a type 9 you'll ever see online. http://www.msichicago.org/exhibit/U5...our/index.html Now if an IXD2 varies from an IXC on the inside i don't know, its got to be close to being the same, but it is a longer hull. Maybe the forward torpedo room/crew quarters was longer, or they just had more storage for food (aguably the most logical conclusion). |
