Default Receiving encoded radio messages

Ahoy Kaleuns,

I've got a question! I am on my third patrol in late 1939. I'm receiving several encoded messages from other subs that I can't read. Do I need any special devices installed on my sub to decode them? I think my sub surely has an enigma machine, and I've got a skilled radio man on duty - why doesn't he decode these messages.

Damn patrol, btw, went into Hartlepool port to sink docked merchants or cruisers - but the port was empty. Hurrah! Evaded the destroyers on patrol to find nothing in port.
