Default Torpedo attacks

Played with friend this weekend. Scharnhorst and Gneseinau vs Renown and two destroyers. Renown was seriously damaged and fleed burning but two destroyers made daring attack. One was sunk, the other heavy damaged with steering out, waiting to be finished. But they launched few salvos of torpedos. First one consisted of 8+3 torpedos which Scharnhorst evaded coming bow-on (only one torp hit causing light damage) but doing this he exposed his side to second salvo of 4 torpedos fired from different position.

Great that such tactics and situations are possible in the game.

I love the options that add extra little bit of drama. I fired a salvo during a destroyer duel at 3800 yards, knowing the German 21" moves about 2700 a Turn. So caught with three plowing towards the whole length of his hull he was going to have just one Turn to respond. He turned....and one went a hair past his bow, while another struck flush at the middle....Dud!! I wondered why he hadn't let any at me, then saw next Turn, right before he died to gunfire, that his tubes were wrecked. It's a sweet game! Feels deep enough to belong on PC and I'm playing it on my mini 2 in the dentist's lobby while son gets his teeth cleaned.
