I have to ask this at least once every couple months, just on the offchance someones figured it out and cares to share. Of course i never get an answer, but that wont stop me from asking (or trying).
Simply put, the IX interior fuel gauge doesnt work correclty. Yes, it DOES work, but it doesnt scale properly. For example, you can use 25% of your fuel, but the interior guage says you've used 50%. Another "problem" with it, is the float indicator is black. Not an yelloish tint like the type 7's. So im of two thoughts: -Im pretty sure the scale of the guage resides in the control room's SIM file. (like all the other fixes) Just need to figure out how to edit it. Im guessing it's a hex edit job, so you'd need to find the byte address and all that fun stuff. But i cant shake the feeling that if it was in the sim file, someone would have found it by now. Theres been at least two attempts to fix the other interior guage problems that im aware of, if the fuel gage was there, you'd think they would have found it. - The fuel guage float texture, where is it? Ive extracted gone over the Control rooms TGA's dozens of times and ive never been able to locate it. |
