anyone else had this happen?

im tryin to evade a dd when suddenly i cant get any sonar reports, ya know when u click report last conacts etc. nothing happens when i click any of the sonar buttons. i can still rotate the wheel and hear the dd but why cant i get reports anymore?

Perhaps the DD stopped to listen and isn't making any sounds, so there's no contacts?

Have another crewman rated as a sonarman and swap him out for a fresh pair of ears, sometimes that works for me sometimes not.

Happens to me all the time.

Sometimes the contact is directly behind you (180 degrees +/-) or directly in front of you 360 degrees +/-). These are the weekest spots for the hydrophone.

Go to the hyrdophone view and manually obtain contact, then click on the check mark on the note page. This usually wakes the operator.
