start campaign... & BOOM!!! wtf?

i am not really sure wtf is going on here. plz help. i start a campaign thru SH3 Commander for 1942 @ 29th flotilla in the mediterranean. i start well. go (start engine) and try to sail out slowly (ahead slow) and a few minutes in i just go to %^@#!$ everything goes to %##$$!@ like one of my forward torpedoes have exploded causing massive flooding and death! i immideately paused to at least figure out what happened... as far as i can tell i was far from shore (it was late evening/night), there was no traffic in front of me. (i think).

i've read that sometimes stuff happens due to "sabbotage". is that true? one time my "ahead flank" didnt work due to this, i think. can this happen too? not really, right?
this happened 2 times in close to same spots near there port in italy. can you help? thnx

Not sure what the situation is for you, but it sounds to me as if you're running into a minefield.

u know, now that i think of it, u may very well be right! kudos 4 'splainin' that one.

but here's another. after installing SH3 Commander onto GW, i went to my weapons loadout and my gun rounds (all of them) were invisible. they were there though, i could click onto them. strange right? :hmm:

Sounds like you hit the subnet that extends eastward from the west side of the harbor. There are two mine fields but if you were surfaced you'd not likely hit a mine, they're usually below the surface.

There is a pull-down chart of the friendly harbors top left hand corner of the navigation page. Click and pull down the corner to open. LaSpazia is number 10 on the chart, top rght hand corner I believe.

I've hit mines while surface coming out of Lorient. So i'd think you'd need to be careful no matter what port you're in.

In the Nav screen there's a pulldown map showing subnet and minefield placement for some of the ports in the upper left. They only slightly show a corner in white and there are three separate pulldowns. Minefield and subnet location is the center one... #2. It's in one of the nav mods.
