Quite convenient, much better to be a game addict than a drug addict.
We can pick drug or alcohol addicts and get them addicted to games instead, working on the cure from there. Well, perhaps cocaine and crack are not that bad compared to six straight hours of California Games (argh!) and Mario. Mario does have an addictive soundtrack though. ![]()

I read that in the UK Bioware roleplaying game Neverwinternights is trailed in some schools over there the game has been toned down, apparently they are finding computer games get kids to want to learn while in class. Bioware changed the quests to give it a group challenge, so far it has been a success with the kids and teachers.
When i use to work for a school over here, my job was to look after the computer suite - I was allowed to put on games and run them on the network, Command and conquer and Age of Empires games were a hit with the kids. We found kids wanted to learn and finished there work if they knew at the end of the day they will get to play a game ![]() Last edited by kiwi_2005; 08-08-06 at 10:52 PM. |

I put games on my work system but it doesn't make me want to come to work! :p
In all actually, I just put them there incase I have to spend the night repairing a server or something. In actuallity though, when I have been here all night, I played with them for five minutes before dropping them. If a server is broken, the last thing it turns out that I want to do is play games while a database repairs or something. It probably has to do with the mood in that I really would rather being going home. Dunno. I currently have Rome Total War installed along with Op Flashpoint, Dangerous Waters, and here is the funny ones - Indy's Desktop Adventures (good game to kill 5 min with) and I also have a clone of the original Bruce Lee for the Commodore 64! ![]() -S |

The only bad part about a gaming addiction that with new games costing about 50+ bucks a game they can be even more expensive then drugs and alchohal combined...

Couple of my mate spend hundreds of pounds a month on games, they play them flat out then get fed up with them and trade them in.
