Pre-WWII/WWII Merchant ships blueprints/pics need.

Hi, I'm here because I need some blueprints or some other kind of photo of pre WWII and WWII merchant ships. Do you know were can I find them?

obs: Left and top views would be the best ones for my need.

Actual free blueprints are hard to find on the internet. You may want to check eBay if you don't mind paying for them, as I have seen ship blueprints, original postcards and even model kits of auxiliaries there often.

For photos, you can check uboat.net, although you probably know about this site already.

Also, this warship site has a few pictures of naval auxiliaries which in some cases were similar to merchants of this era.

Sulikate the entire archive of Harland and Wolff is housed inthe Ulster transport museum.Unfortunately I do not have a link.My grand father went to sea in a freighter built by them in 1918 and I managed to get a photograph of her on sea trials.Curiously she ended up in japanese hands and was bombed by USN aircraft in Palau in 1945.The book on Palau wrecks has some good photographs of the attack.

I have not find much ship line drawings online but i can recommend couple of books:"Miniature merchant ships and "More miniature merchant ships" by a author John Bowen. Both are made for ship modellers and as name say they got lots of information about merchant and passenger ships,mostly from WW2 era.There is short history of each ship,photos,waterline drawings for ship modellers and description about paint schedule, i think they are good for graphics modelling also.

I got both books and they surely are worth of money.Conway maritime press is a very good maritime publisher, a gold mine of information.
