Curious if hull popping or creaking can be heard over the broadband sonar.
If not, does the popping or creaking cause the broadband spike/waterfall to get bigger temporarily as it does with flooding torpedo tubes? Or something else? Thanks. |

Almost sure it isn't.
The sub might be nosyer when its shallow but there is no hull poping or anything that I've seen. |

IIRC, this was on the wish list along with the transient request from launching missiles.

Interesting.
It would be very simple to add to the game, as hull popping is already heard on ownship, it would be a very simple matter to have ownship raise a flag so it can be heard on other ship's broadband, or in the case of multiplayer, play a hull popping sound on BB sonar + transient noise. |

During sonar 'A' school, we spent time listening to snorkling, hull popping, just down right bad machinery, and the difference between a high TPK and cavitation.
