Change doesnt frighten me, but i fail to see whats wrong with the forums we have, and ive grown to like them as is. Its crisp, clean, and not an eyesore. (i use the white/silver layout instead of the black one)

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

I don't see anything wrong with this setup, unless keeping it up is a pain.

The current stuff works, but as my boss tells me - treat change as an opportunity :|\

Never change a stable system (as long as you do not have tackling the server-down-times on mind).

As an italian mobster said in a movie to his "cleaner": Remember Leon, change is not good.

I am happy with this layout, the only problems I've run into are the downtimes, but I know that you are working on it. I think that if you dont find a way to resolve the problems you're having now, it's time for a change. If you resolve the problems, then why change? I can imagine that there is a lot of work with changing forum software.

If there is something substantial to be gained, by the administrators and moderators, then sure. Get the good stuff. As for downtime, I haven't noticed much. There was a few weeks ago with the upgrades, but not anything long-term.

I've actually been thinking about dropping a few more dollars in the hat before the market starts selling off.

amen! (appart from the white/silver bit)
Of all the fora to which I am currently a member, Subsim is the only one which doesn't change every five minutes. This is reassuring in a homey comfortable kind of way. I'm not bothered about such newfangled hyper-forum-topic-layout format thing.

let's hear it for the status quo!!
