Default Question about 10th and 12 flotilla's in SH3

This is probably more applicable if your runnin Harbor Traffic, although i dont think grid assigments vary much between the various mods, but...

If youve been in the 10th and 12th flotilla's, where do you usually find yourself going to?

I know in the 2nd you go the caribean alot with a couple cruises down to south africa, but ive never tried a serious campaign with the 10th or 12th, so im kinda curious.

I'm not sure but I think that the 12th is based in the Mediterian ( I transfered there once to 12th by mistake ) .... However , After reviewing your history with our Father's Land proud submarine fleet and noticing that you have lost many of our fine boats perhaps a nice desk job would be in order .. say maybe at Stalag 13 ?

I think a transfer to the Russian front as a point man on patrol is more in order.

lol. Don't make me quote the ridicioulus tonnage figures ive gotten out of those careers. U189 alone had over 500K tonnage by itself. Or how U128 sunk a revenge and nelson battle ships, plus one fiji cruiser out of the same task force, in addition to over 100K of merchant tonnage.

No friends, i think when your playing "Dead is Dead", when your numbers up.... you number is up, no matter who skilled you maybe.

U-128, was sunk by flight P38 lightings off the american east coast while doing and end round attack on a sound contact.

U-518 was sunk my Captain Walkers HK group while leaving biscay bay enroute to the caribean.

U-189 was sunk by HK group also enroute to patrol area after having just left biscay bay. A hedge hog attack forced the boat to surface (as opposed to drown).

U-333 was sunk by aircraft outside of gibralter area at first greylight just before the boat was to dive for the day.. I'd admonish the lookout who was daydreaming, but he (along with the rest of the bridge crew) was killed when the bombs hit.

When you play DiD, when your number is up, its up, sometimes for stupid reasons. (like lookouts, who on a clear day, can't see a sunderland until hes right atop you )

At anyrate, ive started a new IXC/40 with the 10th flotilla. I doubt its any different then the 2nd. First patrol grid, and im going to an area right off Norfolk. Looks a bit shallow, i wont be there longer then the mandantory 24 hours.

Lest we forget, most boats were lost and most u-boatmen died.
That said, I don't play DiD; nor does anyone, really - they just start a new career. I always thought that to really play "Dead-is-Dead", upon being sunk, you'd have to immediately go fill a tub with water and hold your head under until you drowned (or at least burn your copy of SHIII).

I dont think anyone is going to suicide over a game, and if someone is that disturbed, maybe they'd be doing the world a favor by removing themselves from the genepool

Well, that's a good idea for the DiD Mod Machine (tm): Connect the death screen with Dr. Kevorkian's device. (at least to make it until they post the story to the forum).
