Default Should I or not?

I'm about to install the 1.03B and the LuftAmi 3.0.

However hearing this depth control problem (other post), should I, or a better option is the 1.01 with 2.03 of LuftAmi?

I would go with the first one because of that new sonar model and because I am using mainly the OHP but again...

Just need to know what you think

Is it still playable (realistic scenario) even tough of some problems related with the Beta 1.03?

Thank you

I have more fun with 1.01+LW/Ami 2.3 than with 1.03b+LW/Ami 3.0. The more complicated acoustics model is nice, but it isn't worth the frustration of not being able to dive from PD, losing depth control during hard turns, and the sub "stalling" and going backwards in turn reversals. This even happens when you dial in a course and let the crew do it; you don't even need to use the rudder hotkey to make it happen. I'm waiting for the official 1.03 very anxiously.

With the 1.01 and the 2.03 do you have as well the Hotfix for the Speed Vs Sound? I guess so.

For the Red Storm Rising Campaign of Bill, I guess it was made with the 1.03B. Can we play most of the scenarios anyway with that configuration.

Will see what other people will think about it

Thanks Molon Labe

But oe question: do you think this was intentional?...

I dont know about you guys but i really like the way the layer works in 1.03b. And being i like playing in deeper water over shallow water, most of the time when i get shot at is when i am above the layer. So im turning and diving to get below the layer and the depth problem works in my favor So i guess it depends on how you like to play. If you like playing with the kilo running around in shallow waters dont play with 1.03b. If your like me you wont have any problem.

I am not sure what you meant by that Fandago.

Does Jamie has been aware of those issues (going deeper in a hard turn, going reverse on hard turn....)

Where do we stand (%) for the official 1.03

Nobody answered that one last time; do we detect periscopes and sails finally with 1.03B?

Thanks

considering it occurs when the crew is ordered to make the course change, and not just with manually controlling the rudder, I'd have to say clearly it is unintentional.

This is a fundamental cheat which has to be fixed, the p-3 looses over 50% of its effectivity due to this fatal bug (all to the amusement of the bubbleheads ).
