A few things, as you've seen the NYGM 2.2 repair crew is smaller than normal. That is because it's used mainly as a supplemental repair crew for the topside and quarters only. You'll notice you're unable to repair places like the torpedo rooms or engine rooms with the repair crew. The engine rooms were made smaller as well due to the lower crew requirements of NYGM.
To repair a compartment with NYGM 2.2 you need to put people in that compartment. The more the merrier! That will be your main method of repairing damage. Put people where the problem is. The auto station buttons don't work in NYGM 2.2, it's a more hands on crew management approach letting the captain decide who goes where. Basically you have two crews for each station (radio room, control room, engine room, watch and a few torpedo guys) and the off shift crew stays in the quarters resting. Additionally, NYGM 2.2 is not meant for use with the XXI type u-boot. There were some major problems with that boat, and since it really didn't see much action historically it's mostly a forgotten boat in NYGM. Major parts of it won't work as you expect. So no, you didn't mess up anything at all, just ran into a few design changes between NYGM and Vanilla SH3. ![]() |

But the thing is when i double click a compartment to crew it 2 "invisable" and inactive stations are manned makeing me have to manually move them , not that big a deal. the stations dont show up as "empty" crew slots but it is manning the posts reguardless. if all is as should be then np i just wanted to make sure i didnt mess it up =).
{edit} read you post in the other topic Tyvm |

Yes, the other two positions in the engine compartments are actually there, they just have a graphic used to mark them as inactive and they aren't counted. So anytime sailors are moved "automatically" into the engine room, as in when you submerge and the Electrics take over, or when you rclick Man Room or whatever it's called, it'll end up "overfilling" the room. Other than the annoying picture, it doesn't really hurt anything.
